Florida Korean War
Veterans Memorial

In 1996 the Florida State Legislature authorized the construction of a monument to honor all Floridians who served in the Korean War, especially the 555 from Florida who gave their lives for their country. A site in Cascade Park, near the Capitol building, was selected and a design chosen by the Florida Commission on Veterans' Affairs. Construction was begun in June, 1999. The monument is now finished and the dedication of the memorial was on December 11, 1999.  Below is a drawing of the new memorial and the link to the State of Florida KWVM Site.
